Database on immigrants in OECD and non-OECD countries
Documenting global mobility and furthering our knowledge of international migration.
This research project aims to further our knowledge of international migration by documenting global mobility over the first decade of the twenty-first century, 2000–2010. The project brings together the OECD, the World Bank, and the International Migration Institute in partnership, to collect migrant stock data from the 2010 census round, i.e. 2005-2014.
Upon completion of the database, recent migratory movements will be studied along several dimensions, e.g. by occupation, education level and employment status, all over time. Subsequently the research team will analyse this new data set to gain new insights into the causes and consequences of international migration.
